Practice Video/Audience Feedback

FeedbackGenerally, the feedback from my target audience was relatively really good. The main positive points that came out were:

• The video as a whole
• The effects on the house that was on fire
• The silhouette effect on the romantic scene
• The music used throughout the trailer
• Editing to make it look like as if the "ghost" is appearing and disappearing

However, there were a few common bad points that either I need to change or add into the trailer to make it more professional:

• The font of the text needs to be different as it becomes more Horror then fantasy
• I shouldn't give away as much information as I did
• Should isolate some of the sounds such as a creaking roundabout/swing or the burning house
• Make it so that, the audience can understand the characters more

My Personal Review

I'm proud of what i was able to produce because i combined animation with some editing effects to influence the genre. The music was one of my favourite parts of the trailer because it not only reflected the romance at the beginning but left the audience feeling eerie nearer the end.

On the other hand, a lot of improvements could be made to make the genre easily noticeable and the plot harder to figure out. The font itself and the colour make it confusing for the audience to understand what genre the film is because red and the style of font it is represents a horror film. Also, i think i should include more diegetic sounds, even if they were subtle it'd be effective. Mainly, when i start filming properly I will have cast people so the characters stay consistent and any scene's were there is zooming needed won't pixelate.
